THOMAS CLAMOR

Thomas Clamor studied trumpet and percussion at the North West German Music Academy of Detmold. After being engaged by the Opera in Frankfurt am Main he switched in 1986 (aged just 23, he was its youngest member) to the Berlin Philharmonic under the artistic direction of Herbert von Karajan. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has played in many leading ensembles. Releases on major record labels and TV and radio recordings by leading broadcasting stations all document this activity. He has applied himself with great relish to educational and conducting work, and chamber music is a particular delight.
