It was about five years ago when I had my first touch with the Schagerl trumpets as my orchestra ordered us Schagerl Bb- and C-trumpets.

The Hörsdorf-model trumpets felt very nice from the first note. Especially after finding the “right” Schagerl G2 mouthpiece for those trumpets I was really happy. I have played nearly all my life only piston valve trumpets. After receiving my Schagerl rotary trumpets I have made my solo and orchestral career more colourful by using the both types of trumpets (piston and rotary) in concerts and several recordings. Schagerl trumpets are really outstanding. The intonation is highly consistent and sound is pure gold.
