Schagerl Hoersdorf-Heavy C-Trumpet

Beauty is one of the most powerful motivator.  People everywhere are inspired by beauty.

The beauty of sound that comes out of the Schagerl Hoersdorf-Heavy C-Trumpet is unmatched by any other trumpet I have had the opportunity to play. (Except Thomas Gansch’s Schagerl Bb trumpet: “Gansch-Horn”)

This is the first instrument that I have found that actually inspires me to make music.

Once you hear yourself playing, its tone is so rich in colors that you are possessed by its beauty and you cannot help but make beautiful music.  You are transported in another world where you can forget about any technical aspect of playing an instrument and all you can, and want to, think of is how beautiful it sounds.

I have not yet had a chance to master the use of the two “keys” that are on the tuning slide but have not felt a need to, since the instrument performed so well without me having to use them.

It is so easy to play and is extremely responsive to all the demands I make of a trumpet in providing a wide range of colors.  Like an artist painter who wants to have a full array of colors at his disposal to cover the full spectrum of his art, this instrument offers just that.

This trumpet is a musician’s dream come true.
